Does a new account come with free credits?

Credit availability varies by signup path and current promotions, so the source of truth is your own account: check the credit balance on your billing dashboard.

When credits are present, they apply automatically — Baseten draws them down against your usage before charging a payment method. There's nothing to redeem or activate.

Baseten doesn't offer a perpetual free tier. Usage beyond your credits is billed at standard rates.

Early-stage startups can apply to Baseten for Startups. The program is open only to customers who haven't previously received Baseten credits.
